Elections are coming up and the preparations are going on at full pace. So, Election Commission of India took a step forward. The year 2013 has been declared as Voter Enrollment Year and new EPIC, which stands for Election Photo Identity Cars. As per new orders, these EPIC cards are to be issued to the people in no more than a month via Mee Seva, eSeva, AP Online etc. to the applicant. On the other hand, people who already have this EPIC card can replace their old black and white copies with new ones with color photographs. This involves paying some amount of money. Election commission has taken a step forward. There around 10,00,000 polling booths in India. It collected the attitude and longitude of these polling booths and presented them on Google Maps so that voters can easily check their polling booths.
